The class will be sketching outdoors from nature .Most surprising results can come from this simple process: to look deeply at nature and to let the imagination and inner inspiration lead the way.
We'll use color in all manner of ways. Each medium has its own character and using color and combining media enlivens and enriches a drawing. Variety of line and color brings energy and character to the work.
On Saturday we'll work in dry media (pencil, charcoal, colored pencil and pastel) and on Sunday in wet media (India ink, sepia, watercolor, using both pen and brush).
There will be demonstrations of gesture drawing, contour line drawing, using value and texture, color harmony, perspective and composition.
